The comedy show at the Chicago Theatre had some hilarious moments; however, I found myself not fully engaged and feeling that it dragged in parts. The main focus of the humor revolved around sex and bathroom humor, with even the opening comedian touching on these topics. I had hoped for a more varied selection of jokes beyond these themes.
Despite my mixed feelings, there were definitely moments that had the audience clapping and laughing uproariously. The ticket prices, around $30 each, seemed reasonable to me, and I didn't feel any regret about not splurging on pricier seats.
The venue itself was pleasant, allowing patrons to bring in drinks, which was a nice touch. Although the website advised arriving by 7pm, we weren't seated until around 7:30pm. The show finally kicked off around 9pm and wrapped up by 10pm.
